Troubleshooting Loading Issues

There have been some users running into a Loading Screen issue that will keep them from getting into a game.

Look for your situation below for additional information and/or specific troubleshooting steps.

Firefox for Linux/Ubuntu

A bug causing this has been acknowledged by the Firefox team and a fix for the issue will be addressed in a future Firefox update. You can read more about this via this post by one of our lead developers. Again, we recommend keeping an eye out for that Firefox update and, in the meantime, using a different browser, such as Chrome.

Older Browser and Operating Systems

Includes Chrome ~49.0, Firefox ~52.0, older OS versions such as Windows XP, Mac Mountain Lion.

It is important to note that we officially support only the most recent version of these browsers/operating systems and cannot guarantee functionality will work for older versions. That said, we are investigating a fix that we believe may restore functionality in older browsers.

Unsupported Browsers

Such as Vivaldi, Opera, and Microsoft Edge

We only support the newest versions of Chrome and Firefox. Certain Roll20 features and functionalities will not work on browsers outside of these. Please download the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox to fully experience Roll20.

The Roll20 Mobile App

We’ll be removing our current app on both iOS and Android from all stores and sources until we can release something that we know will work well for you. Please see this post from our team for additional information.
